[vtkusers] Ray intersection testing on GPUs for Surface meshes

Hi,

Simply (he says) I'd like to read in a surface mesh, composed of triangle,
vtkPolyData for example, given a specific point and cone angle fire some
rays from this cone.  I'd like the test to run on the GPU and return the
faces that were intersected.

Is this possible in vtk?  Does it make use of optix from Nvidia or is it's
vtk's own? Not bothered either way...  I don't know in what why solutions
to this might leverage some of the vtkEdge stuff.
