[vtkusers] offset in .vtp

Hello,

I am saving vtkPolyData in an XML file. I get all values but have 1 issue.
In Data Array of Points Data there is offset value which is generated by
vtkPolyDataWriter. How can  I get this value from vtkPolyData? And what
actually is the offset? And also I want to save teh data in .vti and .vtk in
one xml file. How should I do that.
