[vtkusers] Performance VTK 4.4 vs. VTK 5.4.2

Although I can not really confirm a performance drop between vtk 5 and
vtk 4, I do agree that rendering a simple 3D model can be slow. In my
experience, visualization is almost too slow for interactive rendering
on older hardware (GeForce 3 Ti 200) or on on-board Intel videochips
(Intel 945). Are you working on low-end hardware?
