[vtkusers] Client Server Rendering

Hello,

 

I'd like to know if there is a way to have some kind of server rendering
application helping (thin) clients to do e.g. software rendering.

Could this be done using MPI?

The idea is to have a strong server waiting for clients to connect and do
all the processor workload. In this scenario it is not one application but
every client has its own app running doing different stuff (e.g. filtering
artifacts, volume rendering.)
