[vtkusers] Splitting DICOM objects

Hi,

I'm reading in a DICOM file as vtkImageData (i think) through the vtkDICOMImageReader function. What I want to do is split that object into 2 separate actors, using a plane or anything that is available.

I've been playing around with and example using vtkCutter but it hasn't worked out so far. Is it even possible to do what i'm asking, or would I have to use ITK??

Any help or links to examples would be greatly appreciated. I've tried searching for the past 2 days, so I guess I might not be searching for the right things.

Thanks,
Cameron.
