[vtkusers] spline is closed or not?

Hi, 
   I draw a spline, but I don't know whether it is closed or not. 
   are there any good methods that could detect a spline whether closed or not in VTK? or are there any good suggestion? thank you very much!
   I am using VTK and MFC to detect the spline's state.
