[vtkusers] Median of a ROI

Hello vtkUsers, I hope you can help me:

I extract a concret region of a vtkImageData, using vtkSplineWidget like
the  example of imageTracerWidget
<http://public.kitware.com/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/Examples/GUI/Python/ImageTracerWidget.py?root=VTK&content-type=text/plain>.
the stencil output is a vtkImageData with a region of interest. How can I do
the mean of this region? what classes can I use to do this?
