[vtkusers] implicitboolean using implicitdataset

I'm comfortable performing boolean operations on implicit functions, but
I cannot get a boolean operation to work with one implicit function (a
transformed sphere) and a dataset created with vtkImplicitDataSet.  I
can sample, contour, and render them both so I know they intersect, but
I get nothing out of :

vtkImplicitBoolean overlap
	overlap SetOperationTypeToIntersection
	overlap AddFunction implicitdataset
	overlap AddFunction implicitfunction

I suspect there's something wrong with my implicitdataset because it
looks squirrely--it has black portions on the surface (whether
ScalarVisibility is off or on).

I get no errors but no data.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.
