[vtkusers] vtkTubeFilter / cylinder with steps

Is it possible to use a single vtktubefilter to represent a stepped cylinder?.How do I specify 2 radii at the same location along the axis in such a case? I may do it with a slight taper, a solution i would like to avoid.
