[vtkusers] blending

Hi everybody.

Is there a way in vtk to blend one dataset with two different transfer 
functions. I want to blend them depending on the distance to the focal point 
(in the near of the focal point one transfer function should be more 
dominate and far away from the focal point the other transfer function 
should be more dominate).
