[vtkusers] Is VTK suitable for mathematical function graphing?

2D plotting is not ideal with VTK.  Its _really_ cool for 3D though.
Out of the box, VTK wont do this kind of 'function' plotting that
matlab etc. do but it is not hard setting up a VTK pipeline that does
something like it far better than any other tool/toolkit out there. :)
