subtracting surfaces

James,
     I have been developing a vtk class which treats polygonal data as an
implicit function. This allows the clipping (~subtraction) of one set of
polygons with another. The code is in C++, and is still "developmental". I have
got some acceptable results, although there are caveats. If you are interested
let me know.
