Can't compile VTK on RedHat 6.0... can you help?

Searching the VTK archive at:

for "yyin" in the body of a msg, I find this post by David Gobbi:

I fixed this problem about a week ago.  You can grab the latest
 nightly release, or make the following change to lex.yy.c:

 change the line

 FILE *yyin = {stdin}, *yyout = {stdout};

 to

 FILE *yyin, *yyout;
