histogram using python/vtk

Hi,

I need to add a histogram function to a python/vtk application
and I see that this has been done using tcl (Histogram.tcl).
Has anyone done something similar in python? I can always
convert Histogram.tcl and vtkHistogramWidget.tcl to python
but I'd rather not.

Also, there don't seem to be any imaging examples in python in
my distribution (only graphics/examplesPython). Am I missing
something?

thanks,
