As Berk said, I think there are more changes needed and we are just
about to freeze. This is a far easier migration than 3 to 4, but would
probably require a few weeks. It would be surprising if Ubuntu were
not providing a facility to install Qt 4 and 5 (last I heard they
were), I think we are far from the last project that hasn't migrated
over yet.

It would be great to put some time aside to work on this after VTK 6
branches, as you point out more distros are moving to Qt 5 (although
many are ensuring that 4 and 5 can coexist on the same system).
