I am generating an annimation using the legacy reader. In each frame of the
animation I would like to be able to show the file name in the annotation.
And hopefully use the tcl interpreter to extract and format some information
about the current time. Since the anotation entry boxes process tcl scripts
it should be possible, hopefully. After reading sources I found that:
[[[[$Application GetMainWindow] GetCurrentPVSource] GetTimeStepWidget]
GetValue]
does show the file name, of the current frame but does not change as a result
of the animation control but only as a result of a change in the reader
control. The question is how to make this update with the animation??
I traced through the sources all the way to vtkAnimationScene which isnt
apparently in the sources.... hmmmm stuck here. PLease help. what source file
should I be looking at for the actual code that acesses the reader during the
animation??
Locally I have pv2.2 x86_64 sources and on another box i have pv2.4. are newer
releases of pv coming with more annotation features built in??
