If you need to compile QT in VS8 check this two websites:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/qtwin/
http://qtwin.sourceforge.net/qt3-win32/index.php

QT free its a windows port of Linux QT open source package. I have 
compiled it successfully under Windows with VS7.1
