[vtkusers] Problem building VTK5.10 64-bit with Qt

In the Windows cmake_gui I tick VTK_USE_QT and I set QT_QMAKE_EXECUTABLE to the place where it exists, C:/Qt64/4.8.1/bin/qmake.exe (in fact I select it using the drop-down file selector).


I get this error:

CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:387 (MESSAGE):

Qt 4.5.0 or greater not found. Please check the QT_QMAKE_EXECUTABLE

variable.

and qmake.exe shows as NOT FOUND.


What could cause this?
