[vtkusers] Building VTK 6.3.0 with X11 on Mac El Capitan

I understand that, however the application we are supporting is
only ported to X11 / GTK. At some point we would like to port
over to native GUI, but resources are rather thin.

The software is called 'chips' and is part of the CIAO,
the Chandra x-ray telescope analysis software package.
