[vtkusers] question about "voxel spacing" in VolView

So I have the following values:
Image Position (Patient): -113.8 \ -289.8 \ -597.5
Image Orientation (Patient): 1,0,0 0,1,0
Slice Thickness: 2
Pixel Spacing: 0.4453 \ 0.4453
But unfortunately I do not understand how this way I compute the last
(SPACING) value (z). How do I use the direction cosines with the
image-position? I'm stuck.
Can someone help me?
