[vtkusers] Building VTK 5.6.1 for VS2013

I can try Visual Studio 2008 and see if that goes well. In the meantime, is this the correct source code for VTK 5.6.1?

Amir,

VTK 5.6.1 was released in September of 2010, several years before Visual Studio 2013 was available. Unfortunately, it is unlikely anyone has modified that particular release to compile on Visual Studio 2013. Could you perhaps use an older version of Visual Studio?

Hi all,

I am trying to build VTK version 5.6.1 with Visual Studio 2013. This has been a nightmare for me so far! I get all types of error. Apparently I should have added “#include<algorithm>” to the header of some files and I have done that as well. I still get lots of other errors.

Could someone give me the web address of the latest version of VTK 5.6.1 (the one that includes all the changes!)?

Please also note that I have built the latest version of VTK with Visual Studio 2013 just fine. However, I need to use this specific version of VTK and cannot go further with it.
