[vtkusers] VTK installer fails on RHEL6

Everyone,

I get the following errors when trying run the VTK install on RHEL6 x86_64.

$ bin/vtkpython
/home/jay/Programs/VTK-6.1.0-Linux-64bit/lib/vtkpython: /lib64/libc.so.6:
version `GLIBC_2.14' not found (required by
/home/jay/Programs/VTK-6.1.0-Linux-64bit/lib/libpython2.7.so.1.0)
/home/jay/Programs/VTK-6.1.0-Linux-64bit/lib/vtkpython: /lib64/libc.so.6:
version `GLIBC_2.15' not found (required by
/home/jay/Programs/VTK-6.1.0-Linux-64bit/lib/libvtksys-6.1.so.1)
/home/jay/Programs/VTK-6.1.0-Linux-64bit/lib/vtkpython: /lib64/libc.so.6:
version `GLIBC_2.14' not found (required by
/home/jay/Programs/VTK-6.1.0-Linux-64bit/lib/libvtksys-6.1.so.1)

RHEL6 has GLIBC_2.12.

Any suggestions on how I can fix this other than building from source?
