Have you considered using ActiViz .NET? It has a RenderWindowControl 
that you can use in a C# program, or any other Winforms .NET program.

You could also consider supporting my Kickstarter project. I would like 
to update the installers for ActiViz to use VTK 5.10, and possibly even 
the upcoming VTK 6, depending on how much money we can raise.
