[vtkusers] Merge two images into a vti file

Dear users,

I'm just discovering th vti functionalities and seems great.
I would like to merge 2 different images that share the same coordinate
system, have the same sapcing, size, origin etc.... They are matched. Is it
possible to export these two images into one single vti file?
If yes, is it possible to add a different LUT for each one?
I don't want to compute a single image merging two images (for example
pixNewImage = pixImageA + pixImageB).
