[vtkusers] Cell vs points for image data

Hi,

Don't see any clear explanations of the reasons for associating scalers with cells or points in vtkImageDaa.

If I associate data with cells, I have been assumed to interpolate point n and point n-1, as there is one less cell than points?

If I have a 4 by 4 pixel image, if I set pixels to cells or set pixels to points, how is this managed ivtkImage data? Seems I should set to cell, but the books and docs aren't clear to me on the actual position in world space of each approach....and it seems many filters assume points.....
