[vtkusers] Qualitymesh vs MassProperties

Hello,
I'm a bit new with vtk.
I need to calculate the surface area of different mesh.
What the difference between the two methods:
MassProperties ->GetSurfaceArea and
QualityMesh -> SetTriangleQualityMeasureToArea

I'm obtaining different measures, but the second method seems to me closer
of what I'm obtaining from blender.
