If you look at the source of the wiki page, you will see:

<div class="floatright">[[File:VTK_Examples_Baseline_IO_TestVRML.png]]</div>

That file gets created when the examples are tested, and it indeed is
stored in the repository
(https://gitorious.org/vtkwikiexamples/wikiexamples/blobs/master/Testing/Baseline/IO/TestVRML.png).

So the thing to do is just post the example, and then the image will
get generated overnight. Then once you check that the file is in the
repository the next morning, you can add a similar <div class ...>
line to the top of the new example so that the image will be
displayed.
