[vtkusers] How to update Insight and VTK

Hello all,

I have *InsightToolkit-3.20.0, InsightApplications-3.20.0 and VTK* (I do
not know which version) installed. Now I want to update them with newer
versions. Do I have to clean all and re-install everything? (I do not
prefer that because I have projects using those libraries. ) Any advice
please.
