[vtkusers] vtkHardwareSelector

Hi all,

Does anybody know if modern graphics cards support vtkHardwareSelector?
Or is vtkHardwareSelector reliable in general?

Maybe I misunderstand something and it has nothing to do with the underlying
graphics hardware like the name vtk"Hardware"Selector implies?
