Hello All,
my question was:
I wanted to know that if i have a .vtk file and i open it in paraview, and
i see the data details using stastistical inspector i see a specified no.
of points(say 1528) but,
when i see the data using glyph the no. of points changes to a large
extent(say 47368) . i do not get the concept out of it because this is
causing an error in my program. and the scale mode is used for what
purpose? whats the difference if i use the scale mode as vector or keep it
off.???
along with this mail i am attaching a vtk file. (1st one) the output that
i am receiving keeping settings:scale mode off and glyph is
the appropriate one, but if i change the scale mode to be off then some
extra vector are coming. Is there any way to get rid of them(the extra
vectors that i get after changing sclae mode from vector to off). i have
created the environment i.e figure using matlab.

as per you sugeestion i used threshold filter but that also is not helping
me in solving my problem.the output that i got is the clipped ends. please
sugeest something else.
and can the zero magnitude vectors be discarded i donot want to see their
directions, this is i think the source of error.
