[vtkusers] 3D freehand ultrasound volume reconstruction

What kind of 3D probe tracking devices that you are using? Perhaps, now what
you are trying to do is synchronization of a series of 2D ultrasound images
with the position information from tracking devices. Only after that you can
reconstruct into 3D model (surface or volume rendering).

One of the approach is using vtkTracker (superclass of
vtkNDITracker,vtkPolhemusTracker,and etc..), to make your vtk communicate
with your tracker devices. It is a better method to perform automation
synchronization, rather than manually arrangement. 

I am also in the progress trying to get this. Hope it helps.
