[vtkusers] colored surface model as a 3D PDF?

Hi,

I need to create a 3D PDF file with a surface model, where certain
parts should be colored differently. Let's say I have it all as a
PolyData object with integer cell data to indicate color.

Does anyone have an experience and could share a few hints?
Alternatively, does anyone know of any other solution to accomplish
that goal? Note, I know how to do it  with single color/domain, but I
need colors/domains.
