[vtkusers] RV: Activiz .NET wrapping new classes

Suresh,

Even when I had never wrapped VTK classes to .Net languages I would do some interop.

Search for "interop c++" on the google.

Also a very good book on this subject is:
"DotNet 2.0 Interoperability Recipes" by Bruce Bukovics

Also, there are tools in internet to do this automatically. I think CableSwig does this.

I'm very interested on this subject, so let me know of your progress. Perhaps we can figure out some examples for the community.

There is a placeholder for VTK in C# on the examples wiki:
http://www.vtk.org/Wiki/index.php?title=VTK/Examples/CSharp&action=edit&redlink=1

but there is no content. Since you seem to be familiar with the
user-end of Activiz.net, it would be great if you could add a few
simple examples to get the section started. You could also start a
/Developers page and post your attempt at your custom class wrapper
and maybe someone can fix it for you.
