[vtkusers] Red-Green-Yellow overlay image

Hi,

what is the most straight forward way to generate a simple red-green-yellow 
overlay of two images to be compared in a render window using VTK?
I mean an overlay image such as in InsightApplication 
"LandmarkInitializedMutualInformationRegistration" where the fixed image is 
basically red, the moving image is basically green and matching regions are 
yellow?
