[vtkusers] What is intermediate nodes in vtkContourWidgets?

Hello,From the documentation of vtkOrientedGlyphContourRepresentation, i came across intermediate nodes..?? What are these and how to add them?? When i get the total number of intermediate nodes, i get the output as zero..what is this intermediate nodes and how to add them and display?thanks.Dear vtkusers !
