[vtkusers] Change color space without vtkColorTransferFunction()

Dear all,

I am a newbie in vtk. I want to visualize a plane from VTK image data with
'Diverging' color space. Is there a way to change the colorspace without
using vtkColorTransferFunction(). I have an impression that this class only
works for volume rendering. At least I could not change the colorspace with
it for my data.

I would greatly appreciate your help/suggestions.
