[vtkusers] closed meshes from vtkDiscreteMarchingCubes?

Padding,  great idea! vtkImageConstantPad is the one to use for that? I assume
an extention by one voxel at each side is enough?
Can I be sure then that any  mesh  from  vtkDiscreteMarchingCubes  of  only  a
single label is a manifold on its own and suitable for vtkMassProperties?
