[vtkusers] How to use QuadricClustering with StartAppend/Append/EndAppend

Hello

I have a working source which generates large polydata (5*10^6 triangles)
which are feeded into a QuadricClustering-filter and this works fine.
Because i need to process larger data i used the piecewise-version
(StartAppend() - Append() - EndAppend()).
The call to EndAppend() always crashes - is there any functional example
of using the appending-version of QuadricClustering() available ?

platform:  WinXP, 32Bit, vtk 5.4, Visual C++ 6.0
