[vtkusers] Encode ImageData / PolyData

Dear Vtk-Users,
I wrote an application that presents specific imagedata and polydata. It
will be delivered together with some JPGs and PLY datas. Since these datas
are sensitive it should not be possible to use these datas in other
application. I am wondering if there is a possibility in vtk to encode /
decode datas. Do I have to introduce a new format and write my own writers /
reader? I would be glad for any advice
