[vtkusers] How to import NASA SRTM DEM data into VTK

Here are the SRTM SRTM elevation data for Mount St. Helens.

There were taken at

N46W121
N46W122
N46W123

But I can't really seem to figure out a pattern or continuity between
these three images. Its the same latitude, only I've sampled 3
separate latitudes.

I wonder why? :-) Any ideas?

It will be good to see if we can reconstruct Mount St. Helens with the
NASA SRTM data and compare it with the St.Helens DEM file that is
supplied with vtk, to roughly check for visual correspondence after
reconstructing a 3D terrain.

Best regards,

Elvis Dowson
