[vtkusers] multicore CPUs

Hi,

are there any plans to extend support for parallel computing within the 
VTK? In the domain of the image filters it already seems to be quite 
present but I'm missing support for some of the polygonal filters like 
Marching Cubes. In the era of multicore CPUs this really would be a 
large improvement in the toolkit.
