[vtkusers] Fixed point recast mapper problem

Dear VTK users
I was using ray cast mapper (unsigned char/short) as it was in VTK 4.2. During interaction, this used to blur but show some approximation of volume.
Now I am trying to use fixed point ray cast mapper in VTK 5.0. During interaction, this one is completely blanking the volume. Interaction is not slow. Only when interaction ends, the ray cast volume gets rendered. Is this behavior intentional? If not, what could be problem?. What can I try or check?
