These hands-on courses are appropriate for both new users wishing to quickly gain proficiency and experienced developers requiring advanced customization skills. The Developer’s Training Week is a great opportunity to meet some of the key contributors to these open-source projects as well as other users in the open source community.
The course runs Monday through Thursday, from 9am to 5pm. The course schedule is:

ITK: Wednesday PM through Thursday PM
This session covers the basic architecture of ITK, the use of its image segmentation and image registration algorithms, the methods used for interfacing ITK to VTK, and the common techniques for integrating ITK into existing applications.
ParaView: Wednesday PM through Thursday PM
The first part of this session offers an introduction to ParaView from a user's perspective, providing you with the knowledge necessary to effectively process and visualize your data. The second part of the course is geared toward developers who would like to create custom functionality and incorporate it into ParaView.
