[vtkusers] Please help me by answering the simple question

Have you installed VtkData?
Message: Can't find file: /usr/local/share/VtkData/Data/headsq/quarter.1,
suggests you do not have it.
BUILD_SHARED_LIBS should be  ON.
You may need to set evironmental variables in your .cshrc or .bashrc
VTK_DATA_ROOT - path to your VtkData directory
VTK_DIR - path to your vtk directory
