[vtkusers] ct 3d image reconstruction

hi all:
   Now I am learning how to reconstruct DICOM files by vtk in MS VC++6.0. I find
some information in internet. Some say vtk can not read DICOM files directly,
others say it can read DICOMs files using imageReader(These message are posted in
2003 or 2004). I do not know which one is correct. If vtk can read DICOM files
directly, I want to get a example of reading DICOM and achieving 3d
reconstruction.
