[vtkusers] Newbie question : which filter provide function to add more scalars to an image data set?

Sorry to fill your inbox. Can anyone tell me that how to add more scalars to
an image data set using vtk filters , although
I just done this with the standard IO handling codes .

Any kind-hearted input would be appreciated.
