[vtkusers] VTK on "Catamount"

 From what I understand, catamount doesn't allow any forking, threads or 
ports, so you'd have to build vtk with a lot of bits "commented out" or 
disabled. I am told that an upgrade (of our XT3) at some point in the 
future might relax these restrictions. I'm not an expert at these OS 
specific issues, but I know someone who is....(so I can ask).
