[vtkusers] DICOM and isosurface

Hallo,

I wrote a program, that allows to read DICOM images and create the isosurface by using the vtkContourFilter.

Is vtk able to color arbitrary parts in every slice (for example by drawing arbitrary surfaces in the Dicom slice) and create a surface just for the colored parts?
Or is it possible to cut some parts of an isosurface (for example by drawing boxes over the undesirable parts?
