[vtkusers] Warped Surface Cross Section

I am displaying a surface whose shape has been exaggerated using
vtkWarpScalars.  I would like to display various cross sections of the
warped surface, not the original data.  I've tried creating a plane and
using vtkExtractGeometry to get a cross section, but this does not appear to
create any data if ExtractOnlyBoundryCells is on.  Is there a better way to
extract and display a cross section of a Polydata surface?  Thanks,
