[vtkusers] probing a vtkpolydata object

Can anyone explain how to use / provide examples in JAVA vtkCellArray::GetNextCell(...)?
I'm trying to probe/modify a vtkpolydata object ( read in from file with vtkpolydataReader) without being given much info as to how the file/vtkpolydata was generated.
